Songster
I live near the Timpson Texas area. I have five Rhode Island Red pullets rescued from Tractor Supply on April 22. I'm having to part with them for many reasons. It's going to break my heart and I'm going to be depressed for days. I am going to be very, very choosy on this. There new owner(s) must promise me these things: 1. They must pet and hug my girls daily 2. They must provide treats 3. They must have good knowledge of chicken caring and at least have a nearby vet. 4. They must have a very, very safe area in which predators CANNOT reach them. 5 and most importantly. They MUST NOT END UP ON THE KITCHEN TABLE! 6. I cannot drive too far from where I live due to undependable vehicles.
My girls all have interesting personalities. My sweet girl Babybmakes the cutest grunting noises for a chicken. She is used to being held, carried and hugged. My heftiest girl, Big Girl has been limping for the past two days but it is not believed to be Bumblefoot, Merek's Disease or broken. She's not super friendly and doesn't care to cuddle, or be carried long. Crybaby will scream when caught, but will chirp to your voice when held and will cuddle. Pushy is used to being carried. Lazy Eye will sit in your lap and snuggle.
Like I said, parting with them is going to hurt me bad and I'm not going to want to see chickens after parting with them. So you must be a very serious chicken lover and abide by my promises above before taking my girls.
