I have to wait 5 months for Khaki Campbell eggs?

I read here, and elsewhere, that I would have to wait 5 months for my Khaki Campbells to lay eggs. That's a lot of free rent. Is there anyway to speed that up a bit, like more calcium or an eviction notice of some sort?

They have to mature first before laying eggs which isn't something you can speed up. It'll take about 5-8 months but once they get going they are good layers.
