Hey everyone I have two many roosters and I can't figure out how to post an ad to sell them. Can someone please advise? I just want them to have good homes after all the time and effort we have put into loving them.

Unfortunately, you will not know if they will go to "good homes". You can post any kind of ad you want, you can charge for them so people won't be getting a free meal, and you still won't know once they leave your place. The thing about charging a price for them, is, if it's too high, you're not going to be able to find a buyer in the first place unless they're some rare or special breed in high demand. If you charge a lower price - even as much as $5, that's a pretty cheap pot of soup. If you want them to continue to have their good, loving home, your best bet is to build a bachelor coop and keep them that way. Or process them yourself. Think of it this way - by processing them yourself, you will be rest assured that they had a very good life, up until one bad day. And they won't even know what happened on that day. If you use the ax and stump method, they will know that for some reason you grabbed them, and then it will be over in seconds. It would be harder on you than on them.

They are only about 4 months old , is that even worth any meat? I have a buff brahma and lakenvelder.

I figure if you are willing to come and get them it is to a " good home"

People are willing to come and get free roosters for several possible reasons...food, cock fighting bait, or 'rescuers'.

At just under 4 months old you can still grill them if processed correctly.....after that stew/slow cook.
Won't be much meat but they will make great bone broth...I grill the young ones then still use the grilled bones for broth.

If you don't want to do the processing, let someone else eat them.

This is where romance meets reality in the BYC movement.

X2

Process them yourself if you have the stomach for it to ensure a quick and painless death.
