I have tried to save eggs that where accidentally cracked

I have tried to save eggs that where accidentally cracked eggs using elmers glue but was never successful does it really work? Or is there another way to save cracked eggs?

I have always heard to drip a little wax on the crack
I just had one hatch today that was dinged but we put wax on it
worked great
never heard of using elmers
