I have two chickens that have poop on them, and would like to know how and if I have to wash them

I have one that gets pooped on a lot. She doesn't roost and she sits under the others at night as they do their usual business. I have brought her indoors to wash her with room temp running tap water followed by extremely gentle but absolutly total blow drying. Bathroom smells a bit but I just do a good cleaning and bleaching of the sink. I have begun placing her on the roost at night and also taking her off the roost in tbe morning. She is pigeon toed and I'm not so sure she doesn't have a vision problem. She hasn't been pooped on since.

My chickens are 19 weeks old.
I did find a couple of videos on line on how to bath them.
Thanks for responding though.

I was wondering if they were newborns or mature chickens. Sometimes the little ones will get pasty-butt and you would use warm water to get that off.

The mature chicken sometimes mess themselves. Some people have been known to trim their fluffy butts.

I am glad you were able to find the help you needed.

Where is the poop?
And how much?
and how did it get on her?

I have birds occasionally get pooped on from roosting underneath others,
they can preen it off themselves.

If poop is stuck to their butts, that may be another situation altogether.
Needs to be looked at, clipping feathers is better than bathing IMO.

Need more info and knowing your location would help.
