I'm really too sick to talk, but here it is, in the Northwest tip of GA (Trenton) Just got confirmed today. Be careful out there!

I've heard reports that it's here in MI and one person has died from it. We have found 4 dead crows on our farm but, we have been in a drought so there has not been many mosqitos out in the evening. Which must mean that the few that are out are very dangerous. Hope you get feeling better soon

We had a lady out here in Southern California die from West Nile, although she was older, as well as two confirmed chicken cases I believe?

It's kind of a shock to me since it's so dry out here. I was under the assumption that West Nile was more common in wetter places. Right now it's about 15% humidity and 95 degrees F.

I didn't think about chickens getting W. Niles. The DNR officer has told us if, we find any more "fresh" dead crows - they want to test them. I guess that would go for chickens too. We haven't lost any yet but, I'm not sure why they want to test dead birds - we already know W. Niles is in our area.

Mosquitoes weren't bad in Northern Colorado in 2012, but one bird managed to get it anyway... She recovered in 24 hours, but we had to tube feed her and keep her in a dog crate in the kitchen. Do they normally die? If so, than Izzy is one strong bird.
