my Sally got into a fight with the other hens
her comb was bloody, I put flour on it to stop the bleeding and brought her in the house so she would not go into shock and so the other hens won't peck the flour. when the flour dries up I will put her back out- till then she gets a nap.

Poor chickie! I haven't heard of the flour trick. Have you used that before? It must work well!

Corn starch is another good thing to use. I had a hen with an injured comb a couple weeks ago but the bleeding stopped on its own. I just put a little neosporin on it and she's doing fine.
