So today I decided I just needed to get me some roosters to go with my girls... So I called up Ideal and said

"Hi, I would like to order a BO roo and a BR roo .... What else do I need?"
" You will need a minimum of 5 chickens and we are out of Standard Chicken Pullets"
" Well hmmmmm, Do you have Bantams?
" Yes, what kind are you looking for?"
Cochin's...

Aggghhh so I have Cochin Bantams straight run coming in a variety of color and have no idea what I am going to do with them...

Why do we get them? Is it because they are cute and small?

Darn it now I need to design a mini coop... Ha ha

Actually I have to blame you for me buying cochins.. Remember that Standard Cochin you received as a p. peanut... Well I fell in love with him at first look , and since they were out of standards I asked for bantams.

I think my kids will enjoy them. Are the roosters even friendly, I am praying I end up with 2 hens and roo but you get what you get...

You will love, love;love and did I mention you will love the bantams..I thought my mom was crazy for suggesting bantams because they lay small eggs but their personality and temperment makes them tops in my book(I am proudly owned by 9 bantams). I will NEVER NEVER not have bantams and I loved my cochin bantam rooster till he passed away.

My cochin rooster is the most friendly chicken I have. Even my DH who wasn't to happy about getting chickens loves this guy. Just look at them together playing xbox and he had to name him "Krull"

That is great news!!
My husband is like why would you get Bantams, the eggs are small. Why don't you get more hens.. I said because they are sold out till June, I need my roo's now so they can grow with the flock.

So my Bantams are still on the way, I hope mine are as love-able as everyone else.
