I just found five eggs that my free range chicken has been hiding..

Should I preform the float test to be sure?
I probably will anyway but my worry is that they have been sitting outside in this secret place for who knows how long and so I'm not sure if they are bad just from being out there.

She's a sneaky little girl..
I noticed she hadn't been laying but the weather has been shifting so I figured it was the cause.. Even though our other hen was still laying.

I went outside today to give them a treat and found my hen squawking for the other hen.. I couldn't find her anywhere.. And then!
There she was.. Behind an old pile of wood with five eggs.. Oy vey!
