I Just Put in My First Chick Order

I'm so excited!!! I just put in my first ever chick order. Looks like I will get my first flock started the week of April 11th! I ordered an Australorp, Easter Egger, Welsummer, and Meyer Mealmaker. The delivery date coincides with our Spring Break (I'm a teacher), so this works out perfect. Now, I just need to hurry up and wait....

Got that coop built yet?

No coop yet. I decided to have someone make the coop for me. I will build the run. I have to wait until at least January to start building. I have casts on both of my feet right now, so limited mobility-and they can't get wet.

I've never seen casts like that before ??? Pretty kool ...
