My buckets are the ones that frosting comes in to the grocery store bakery. The plastic is a little softer and more flexible than the hard buckets you get at the home improvement store (as well as being a little smaller so that I can actually carry them.

I got several buckets (and lids) from a donut/ice cream store. They would save them, and had several people who bought them for $1.50/each.

That angers me. She will need to keep that policy for EVERY holiday to avoid potential HR issues.

Why does it anger you that she was scrupulously fair to every person in the department in assigning the exact same number of holiday hours?

If it is that way for every holiday, I will have no room to be angry. Aside from that, I take issue with making people work on a requested day off outside of legitimate business needs.

Well, multiple people wanted Christmas Eve off. That's not feasible. So everyone got half the day off.
