i sexed my eggs today!

i read that if you tie a needle to a thread and dangle it over the chicks or the eggs, it will circle if it's a female, and go back and forth in a straight line if it's a male. out of 9 eggs i had 6 males and 3 females. it IS weird, how i didn't move....or i took the same stance with each egg and each one did one or the other. i know it's an old wives tale. but only time will tell ....ha ha....i'm gonna sex them again before lockdown, and then when they're chicks.....please don't think i'm serious about this...but it IS kinda fun.

Lol! That trick is also supposed to be if you're telling yourself a lie. Hold a string, and if you think or say "The sky is green" it should either swing back and forth or in circles. Either way, the opposite will happen when you say "The sky is blue"

That has been done in my family for generations in figuring out the pregnancy. It is called dowsing! I have my own pendulum and if I am in a tough situation...I ask questions that may possibly help me. It is a whole other ball game

well, if it's been done in your family for generations....how accurate was it? i just candled my eggs.....officially at day 6 and i saw most of them had their little eyes! how cute! and a couple moved! at least it looked like they did.....

my husbands family does that as a game whenever one of the girls gets pregnant and it worked with both of my pregnancy first a boy then a girl but hey it has a 50% chance of having to be right
