I just want to say thank you everyone for your help. I have been busy reading and learning with all of the links given to me. I have printed out the MRTFA as well as a couple of court cases. I did go ahead and order my chickens. ranger2974... Thanks for keeping us posted and please continue to do so.

I've gotten pretty well versed on MRTFA and I don't have chicks yet....I sent a letter to the city claiming MRTFA and basically, the city told me it doesn't apply and if I get chickens I am subject to a $500 fine and up to 90 days in jail.

I dont have a lawyer in the family and my husband said we are not going to enter into a legal battle with the city....I'm at a loss as to what to do now....
