Last Thursday we had a raccoon attack and lost our Ginger, her mate Hulk was severely injured. He has big places on his neck where the skin was removed and defeathered. His beak was chewed, we weren't sure he would make it. However after some long searching online mainly via this forum he pulled through. We reattached his beak-parts, medicated his wounds and got him past his shock. Today after much worrying he started to eat again: so far he has eaten 10 worms, several bites of creamed corn, about half a jar of baby food, and a piece of cantaloupe innards.
I am 100% sure he would have been put down if it wasn't for the great people here and the help they have given other people in similar situations. Right now he is using his bill to clean himself up from his bath (where he finally felt good enough to throw water and splash and make bubbles.) I am so excited to see him doing duck stuff again I have freaked out my husband.
If i can post pics of his beak repair and woundy places I will.

Aww, what a great success story! So sorry about what happened to your ducks, but so happy you were able to save Hulk. It's great he's starting to act like a duck again. :)

I wouldn't mind seeing pics of his injuries and how you treated/fixed them up. I think it would also help others in the future with similar issues.

Congratulations on getting your drake through this terrible attack. I hope he continues to heal and has a wonderful rest of his life.. with you. Very sorry for your loss of Ginger.

If you'd like to share pics I think it would help any one who maybe faced with something like this..
