I know smoking is bad for you but somtimes its bad for your bator too.

I lent my styrofoam incubator to a friend and when I got it back there was a BIG spot that looked melted. There was a spot about half-dollar size that was almost through with about an inch or two around it that wasn't that bad. I took a paper lunch sack folded over and taped it over the hole. I plugged the bator in and it kept temp good so I tried hatching with it. It worked great. Still does, and that was about 20 years and I don't know how many hatches ago.

Its about nickle sized. I dont think its losing heat but If i need to plug it i'll prob using some duck tape...LOL.

Eggs are porous, smoke can contaminate your hatching eggs and affect your hatch rate.

Don't even smoke in the same room that you have a bator in.

Just my 2 cents from a fellow smoker.
