I live in the highest of heat!

I live in Las Vegas, the heat is 117 this week, I have 2 large containers of water, (constantly filled and changed daily) and their feed is all full. Though I have them in a shaded area, is this heat going to seriously affect them. I have 2 golden sex links and 2 long island red.
I do feel them watermelon, that the love, just to cool them off a little in the heat. They do like yogurt, but, with it so hot, I am afraid to give them that.
I welcome any and all feedback, I am new at this.

Yep, shade, misters, fan, even a set-up place covered with dirt where they can get a couple feet under dirt where its cooler. I dug a hole with the hole diggers---about 3ft deep---It was 102 above ground but in the 70's 3 ft down. Not sure about your area---but that might be something for you to check out.
