When I lose mine, I station DD (4) in the car, DD (6) downstairs and DS (8) upstairs. then I go outside with the portable, and call it while walking around the coop area... usually one of us finds it...

I lost my cell phone my chicken coop once lol. It fell out of my sweeter pocket and i found it 2 days later coverd in straw lol.
