Couple weeks ago I found a duck in my front yard, injured but scars seemed to be old. She could not walk. I tried to take care of her, took her to vet. Tried to feed her well, gave vitamins. She seemed to get better but then she had diarrhea, I washed her and the next morning she was dead. I loved her very much, every morning I woke up running to the barn to make sure she was OK and carried her to the yard. I called and checked on her everyday from work. When I got home first thing I did was go and make sure she was OK, and then she died all alone, I found her dead in the morning. I do miss her so much. I have lots of other animals, but she captured a special place in my heart. I feel guilty, I feel like I did not take good care of her and she died because I got her wet or I did not feed her right. I will never forget her.
