I have 15 Saxony coming and 15 Golden Cascades coming. I am so dreading the brooders!

I do not think they will be here at the same time but I have not heard from Holderreads yet so they may just come at the same time as Sand Hill.
I want to get an early start but gosh, ducklings are such pigs.
I have butter tubs with a 1/4 of the lids cut out for drinking but they usually find a way to make the mess and I don't like them to get wet and chilled.
And at this time I have about 300 baby chicks in the brooder room. Ducklings will be even more fun.

Is it warm weather yet?

I can't wait to have babies to love on though!

I hear you there, Ive got my butter cups all saved with holes in the lids, I also use the tubs that cold cuts come in and cut a hole in either end. I use the square flat ones for food and the normal sized ones for water, I find they dont tip up like round butter dishes, then once they get a bit older I put the meat pots in dog bowls to catch the drips and put said bowls on Puppy pads. My brooders arent wet when I do it that way and what is wet stays on the puppy pads. Im also waiting for my Holderreads order too and because I didnt give a date I dont know when they will be coming.
