I love my ducks so much I made sue I can see their cage and run from the kitchen window. The only problem is that when I go into the kitchen they can see me and when I don't have time to let them out I sure do feel bad! Or when I am getting ready for work I sneak past the window so they don't see me. I just checked at Walmart today and they don't have the kiddie pools in yet!

I am excited to get them a bigger one for them to swim in this year. I love all the ideas I get from everyone on this site.

Just had to share!

I got my first ducks today! The surprising thing is my BF wants to build a bigger run so we will be able to watch them out our livingroom window!! Too funny, I have a seperate flock of chickens at the in-laws...

How fun! We're starting to build our garden/pond/duck area this weekend. We're actually fencing off half of our backyard just for them! One 100 gallon pond with a biofiltration ....or I think on here they call it Duckponics....system, a nice 12x6 secure pen with a 4x4 coop (both of which are secure and LOCKED) and a kiddie pool inside, and then various wood stumps, tonz of mosquito repellant and butterfly attracting plants some of which will be fenced but some available to the ducks to munch if they are safe for them, raised & fenced off garden beds and a few little things like bird baths and houses for the native robins or finches we get from time to time. Then we have to add little decor items and table and chairs, a hammock. We plan on making it heaven for our feather babies and ourselves!

Ducks are definitely a bird *worth* spoiling! This is coming from me, a complete anti-bird person...well, until I got these little gals! <3 This forum has give me all of my inspiration for spoiling them. Love it! Our's will be visible from our kitchen, sunporch & upstairs master bedroom.
