I have a brower 416 egg incubator model. I have confrimed this was made by Lahey (sp?) and so far it has been awesome!! temp is stable. I think just around 99.5 the humidity bucket ( some one added it on, it's one of the older styles that GQF made). i am sooo very happy with it. For some thing so old it's awesome... if it an't broke don't fix it

Isn't true? Stuff that used to be made in America was the best built stuff in the world - way better than what is built today!

I know its not egg related but I recently found a 1948 coca-cola vending machine in a garage that the guy said he had for 'years & years'. It had no power cord or anything.

I got it home - wired in a power cord & bang - works like new!

Things were built to last way back when. Durable goods. Wish we could figure that out again. I'd be willing to pay good money for appliances that don't need to be replaced every 3 years.
