I love this time of year!!!!

Everyone is getting new chicks and the board is abuzz with questions and pics.

I miss having chickens

and now have to live vicariously through y'all until I can have them again.

I know what you mean! Everything and everybody seems to just wake up and start running around, planting, sunbathing, just enjoying the weather after the long winter. And chicks are everywhere! I hope you can have chickens again some day soon. They're good for the soul!

I am sorry you don't have chickens. Even sadder is that you don't have ducks.

It is a great time of year. I am watching a family of deer grazing in the field. The fawns of last year have grown and I am happy to see them back.

I had ducks too, last year. And guineas. And goats. And 7 dogs.

I had to rehome them all, except for two dogs which I was able to keep.

Some day I am going to have ducks and chickies and rusty wheel birds again.

mommy is sitting on 19 eggs... well 19 that i know of anyway. 32 or 33 more days to go

ETA: I LOVE this time of year too! everything is growing back and it's so pretty!!

I had to give up my house. I couldn't keep up the payments and wound up in an apartment. I am grateful that I was able to keep two of my dogs here.

I will have a house again someday, and before I do anything, I am going to build a coop.

well...... I'm sad that summer is over and we are well into autumn all ready! Our daylight savings finished on the weekend and now it starts getting dark at around 6pm!!

It only goes downhill from here! and the roof of my coop STILL leaks.....
