I made a mistake !!!

I made a stupid mistake and now think my mistake has negatively affected my flock.
I was told that adding ACV to my chickens water is beneficial to their digestive health. I make my own ACV and so I was excited to add some to their water every day. I didn’t know that you should NOT add ACV to metal waterer. I did this for two day before I learned it was only to be out in plastic waterer. Ugh . Since this mistake, the egg production of my chickens has gone down.
I am so stupid . Is there anything I can do to remedy this issue? Could this mistake have caused permanent damage to my chickens?

Don’t beat yourself up about it, you didn’t know, and neither did I until I read this. Keep in mind that your mistakes have made it so others (me will not make this mistake now. I don’t know anything about ACV, but good luck and God bless!

If you are going to do acv in their water give them plain fresh water in another waterer so they have a choice. I don’t know how much acv you were using but usually the amount you would add wouldn’t be enough to cause long term issues in my opinion. Definitely not good for them but I’m not sure it’s related to your drop in eggs either.
