I made a mistake!

This is not going well!

I candled them when I took out of turner & I had to throw 1/2 my bantam eggs out because there was nothing in them! the other 1/2 - I couldn't really tell!

I am

these were from a breeder who shows in Ohio (Barred Rock & Blue Orpington) & even though they were bantams eggs they were the size of small eggs you would buy in store!

I can't see anything with cochin & BO to big & dark!

Then today I realized that I got my dates mixed up! and stopped turning a day early

(will they hatch)

Today is really day 20
I hear nothing & altogether I spent $43 un

One day won't keep them from hathcing if they have chicks in them.

I have done that and worse. I have stopped turning a week early if not ealier and have turned them up till they hatch. Thats not a good thing to do but I still had good hatches.
When getting eggs shipped you never know how your hatch rate will be. I think the biggest factor if the way the PO handes them.

They can still be okay, don't give up....just make sure your temps are holding steady and your humidity and please don't open the bator...when a chick pips it takes sometimes to 24 hours for it to zip out and dry off...too many make mistakes and think they have to help...chicks can live up to 3 days without food and water in a bator while the hatch completes...

Chicks are hardly little creatures when wanting to pop out!!...Lots can go wrong we think when we hatch and out pops a chick!!...

I always keep a journal and post in it everyday ,sometimes 3 times a day as to how my hatch is going.....that way I don't have senior moments...

I've seen posts about research projects that didn't turn after day 5 and had good hatches so one day isn't going to cause a total loss.

What date did you set them?...Have patience!!....can take til 25 if things aren't perfect in the bator...
