i loved those days where they peeped and not sqauked. i love how they would sleep with their feet streached out. i loved how i saw them grow into 25 weeks of no egg laying fury lol

i guess this is just saying how much you really hated they way they acted when they were little but when its been so long since then you want thos annoying little peeps and the balls of fluff to attack you i call em fluffy nuggets. thanks for listening to me sadly vent about missing the bad o'l days lol

We are though with chicks until we know we have fertile eggs of our own.

Hopefully we'll try that again in December or January.

I have to tell you, I was/am such a mama hen that I found raising babies in a brooder to be VERY stressful and I was extremely happy when they got older and moved to the coop. I did experience a little "empty nest" syndrome, but once they were well established in the coop, I really thought I was over having baby chicks.

But then I started getting broodies - and I let them hatch out eggs. And now I've got chicks of all ages running around peeping again. And the mamas are doing all the work!

Now I LOVE hearing little peeps in the yard and watching those cute little fuzzy butts.

I didn't realize how much I missed the "baby" stage until we started having babies again. So I think I can understand why you miss them.

Maybe it's time for you to get some more babies!!!
