I am looking for some pet ducks to come and join my urban mini-farm, but my neighbors are irritable and will not tolerate noise

I have been contemplating getting muscovy ducks, cayuga ducks, or indian runner ducks, but different sources say different and cryptic things about the noise levels. Anyone have any concrete knowledge of these breeds?
thanks!

Muscovies are very quiet, but are big, and will becoming illegal soon. Indian Runners are LOUD. Cayugas are very very quiet. You will love them

I have a loud harlequin and my runner can be loud. If noise is a big issue, get a muscovy. You never know about other breeds. Under NO circumstances should you get a buff or a pekin

Runners are LOUD LOUD LOUD. Mine are anyway. My Pekin can be, but isn't always. Same with my mystery duck, she can be quiet sometimes, but when she wants to, watch out.
I guess the Muscovies are the quietest.
The runners DO run! Mine are pretty fast. And they can fly a little bit.

Muscovies are the way to go. I have 20 and you'd never knwo they were there unless someones being a meanie(quick quack) or they see you(they're huff, coo & hiss quietly).

that have wonderful personalities and are the most loveable ducks ive ever had. Best mommas too.

I agree. Get the quackless duck... Muscovy. My muscovy are my favorites. Quiet, a cool hiss instead of a quack, comical and personable.. you'll love them!
