I need a serious hygrometer...

I bought a Brinsea spot check thermometer but I am at a loss for a really good hygrometer. I am using one from walmart and one from incubator warehouse. When I calibrated them via the salt method, I got inconsistent results. I don't know if either one is correct.

Seriously, which hygrometer do I buy?

You can use any of them. If you calibrated them, and found out it read 5% too low, then you allow for that, and you can use any cheap hygrometer. Even the best ones should be calibrated.

When I calibrated one it was 5% too high and the other was 6% low but when I put them into the bator, those numbers didn't match up with the readings i was getting...

If you are pretty close, then that's good enough on humidity. The temp is more important than humidity, which has quite an acceptable range.
