I have a chick that just hatched and half the egg shell is sticking to her. I tried to get the shell off but it's so sticky that it was pulling her down feathers too so I quit trying to pull since I didn't want to rip her feathers off. I need help on what to do. Anyone know?

I'd wait till she is fluffy. Usually they come off on their own, if they don't, use lukewarm water to CAREFULLY remove it. Many times it's hooked to the umbilical cord... you don't want to bleed your chick out.

I would run some warm water over her, not to hot, dont want to burn her. Keep her face out of the water. Keep her warm while she dries. Im guessing its the membrane and not the actual hard shell right?

Thanks everyone! I washed the chick in lukewarm water & the membrane came off easily w/out taking any feathers!

She liked the bath so much that she was falling asleep but I kept her head above water!:lol I dried her off & put her back in the incubator so she stays warm & dry. Thanks again everyone you helped me save my chick.
