I have (I believe) a lot of roosters in my coop! I have 16 total - these are the ones I need help with! I will post my predictions and would love any insight as to if it’s correct or not. First time chicken tender and want to thin out to just egg layers soon! The BCM I have a ? Next to because that’s what the lady told me, but she also gave me the polish as a BCM too haha any insight will be super helpful! All chicks are just over 6 weeks (born 4/1/25) except for the BCM/Olive Egger and the 2 cream legbars, they were born 4/4/25! The cream leg bars were supposed to be sex linked (what I was told) but one clearly looks like a rooster! 8 was SUPER hard to get any pics of, but I’m almost sure she’s a pullet. I can get more pictures tomorrow if requested! But I was dying in the humidity chasing these things around! Haha

1- Easter egger (pullet)
2- Easter egger (cockerel)
3- BCM? (Cockerel even though I hope & wish it’s a pullet 😭)
4- blue Andalusian (cockerel?)
5- polish (cockerel lol)
6 - BCM/Olive Egger (cockerel?)
7- cream legbar (cockerel?)
8 - cream legbar (pullet?)

1 - female EE
2 - male EE
3 - male EE
4 - male EE
5 - male polish or polish mix
6 - male blue wyandotte or blue wyandotte mix
7 - male mutt of some sort, not a legbar
8 - female mutt of some sort, not a legbar

EEs are mutts by nature, and I would guess the Polish and Wyandotte cockerels are also mutts because I'm seeing leakage (flecks of other color that indicate they aren't purebred, because one parent was a different coloration), and the final two also appear to be mutts. The girl definitely is, she just doesn't have a standard color pattern for any breed. She may be a Welsummer mix? I would guess the boy is a Welsummer mix as well. It's hard to tell until his adult plumage comes in but he doesn't look purebred.
Not that that matters for pets - I just hope you didn't pay that lady for purebred girls, because that's not what you got! I'm so sorry that you have so many boys, that's truly awful luck.

That fourth boy, the black and silver one, is going to be a gorgeous rooster someday. I love his fibromelanistic (pure black) skin with the black/silver coloration, it's stunning. He's the only one I wavered on a little in terms of gender but I'm pretty sure I see silver feathers coming in down his back, which would solidify that he is indeed a boy.

Thank you SO much for such detailed replies! I definitely did not pay a lot for these lol my original 6 I got (first toe in the water with chicks), USPS held them for 2 extra days. So 4 out of the 6 all slowly died while I held them (the store lost over 70% of the order too of 200+ chicks) 😭 they were the only ones I paid the price for a hatchery sexed pullet. Since I was a bit traumatized from that experience, I only bought from locals that clearly have more BYM than they thought! Haha I’m not pressed on breed at all and I didn’t pay more for any (all were $2-6 a chick depending who I got them from). I just want a variety of eggs & chickens! Looks like I definitely will have room to add to my flock in the next couple years because I am DONE with chicks this year! 😂

The all black skin is definitely what was throwing my on this one, which is why I was hopeful it was a pullet! Since a literal day old chick it would hop in my hand and just want to be on me 🥲 and we already have a OE/BCM cross rooster from a batch before him that we’re going to keep! 😭 he’s definitely got a beautiful copper neck and I LOVE his iridescent black feathers. We clearly don’t have enough hens at this point for a second rooster (only 7 out of 16).

Could the seller have been telling you the breed of the mother? The breed you listed could be the mother in most of cases, depending on what rooster breeds were in the flock. (Exception: the "Legbar" cockerel would have white barring if he had even one Legbar parent, mother or father, so he's not even half Legbar. Could be 1/4 Legbar, if someone's got a Legbar-mix in their flock.)
