I just picked up a few pullets from a friend of mine yesterday. She got them out of the assorted bantam bin at TSC. They are about five weeks old now, and nearly fully feathered. I'm not sure what this little bird is, I hope someone out there can help me figure her out! She has a patch of reddish brown feathering on her chest as well. --edit-- I'm looking for breed and color/pattern suggestions here.

Are you sure that's a pullet? Assorted bantams are usually straight runs. I'm just asking because it looks like there's a lot of red on the comb for a 5 week old. My bantam pullets that are 5 1/2 weeks don't have and pink on the combs yet, the cockerels do though. Beautiful bird though!

I'm not positive she's a pullet, since she did come from a straight run batch, but she was definitely among the least red of the whole bunch. She's not showing any other rooish signs, which of course doesn't mean anything this early, but here's hoping she is a pullet - cockerels don't get to stay around here.
