I need help! Is there a 12 step program?

Just brought home 6 chicks! Total head count = 36 I have a problem! Is there a 12 step program?
I was completely satisfied two weeks ago with the 12 laying hens I raised back in September. I went to TSC brought home 4 Mallards, decided to order 10 more ducks, received 4 roos as packing peanuts, decided they needed some chicks their own age, went back to TSC and brought home 6 Red Pullets, and a lady on CL that I wrote earlier about 4 BSL day old pullets that she doesn't want said they are still available

Of course there is a 12 step program, but I dont think anyone has ever hit "rock bottom" with buying chicks so its never been instituted here lol.

BYC does have some Chickaholic, Hatchaholic, Addicted to Chickens/Hatching and all those sorts of threads but I gotta warn ya, we don't help people stop the behavior! We're all "helpers" or enablers.

Well at least I get some support in not telling me I'm crazy, like hubby does.

I emailed the lady back and told her I couldn't take the 4 BSL. She wants $4 each and hubby said I have too many after the 6 I got today. The BSL at TSC today were only $1.99. Maybe I'll write her and tell her that if she can't find a home for them I will take them for $10.

my boyfriend made me walk away from all the babies when we were at TSC the other day, of coarse I told him I just needed food but he knew better when I made a b-line for all the chirping lol-he told me my bator is full and I will have plenty soon enough

SassyKat6181, I am sooooo with you! I bought 8 Tetra Tints at TSC the other day, knowing good and well I have 25 day old Brahma's coming in the mail next week, and in case your chicken math is as bad as mine that makes for 33 chicks.....I currently have 3 roo's, 1 "it", and 6 hens.... for a total of 10...(10 + 33= 43)....THEN!!! as if it could be worse! I got a steal of a deal on 4 five month old pullets (for a grand total of (47)!!! ! The kicker......I've only been into chickens for about a 2 months.....Now I am the one with issues! Come next Monday I will have 47 chickens spread out through my basement and my backyard! (The clucking in my head told me to!)

If anyone needs a 12 step program its me! But it is so addictive!! I love my chickens and they make me so happy.
