I need help potty training my buff Orpington Roo and hen!!

I'd work on getting them a secure coop and run suited for your climate then. Since it's so hot I'd go for an open air coop with a covered run. You can find design ideas in the coop and run section of the forums. Just remember that in general you want at least 4 square feet per bird in the coop and at least 10 square feet of run space per bird. I would plan for a setup designed for a few birds more than you currently have 'cause chicken math is very real. I'd also advise against going with a prefab coop since those tend to be too small and overpriced for what they are

I know this is silly but where I am it gets really hot and sometimes I have to bring my chickens inside normally I’ll get a tote box and put a perch in it but now they won’t just sit in there box and they will hop out and do a poo poo. My rooster might be more of the problem he will wait to poop until he can hop on you then take a dump and there will be seconds for the carpet. Any suggestions? I have 2 cats so I have a litter box they can go in if that should even work.
I bring all of mine in when the feels like temp is over 100. They are split between the air conditioned coop and my spare room that is now their room
