I cleaned the large brooder that my hens are in (they are like 3 months), and in 2 days they have managed to coat themselves in a mud like layer of pop. They will be moving to a much larger cleaner coop in a few days once we deliver the guineas that are in it. I realize that something needs to be done immediately for health reasons. Do you have any suggestions for cleaning them or should I just let them preen themselves after I move them. I feel so bad, I wanted to help them by cleaning the box, but they have managed to turn it into a horrible situation.

Please help

I would consider them giving them a quick bath but I'll think they'll be okay.
