I have two coops and two separate runs. Chicken math has got me and I’m at capacity so I want to branch out and give them supervised outside time while we are playing outside in the afternoons. But I want it fenced. Can you show me what you’ve used to fence off around your entire chicken area!?

I use and recommend Premier1 poultry netting (the yellow fence in the pictures). Non-permanent, easy to move, and relatively inexpensive. They have electrified and non-electrified versions.

The fabric is galvanized welded wire. I use a mix of 14 or 12.5 gauge. The 14 guage is a little cheaper and not heavy so a little easier to work with.

I attach the fabric by using a cheap set ratcheting bar clamps. Then you can get cat's claws fasteners or exterior screws with stainless steel rubber washers (what I used after I ran out of cat's claws.

The dog pen in my photo above is also welded wire but I used metal T-posts instead of wooden posts and attached the wire fencing with T-post clips. I suggested a non-permanent fence because you said you only wanted to use it occasionally (it's easier to set up and to pick up to mow and move, etc.), but if permanent fencing is what you are looking for welded wire is a good DIY option.
