i need some advice. false sense of security

Yes, just the one door. My uncle said someone stole them also so I don't know. Also the neighbor has two coon hounds about 100 feet from the chickens. I know it wasn't them cause the chickens go in their kennel and eat their food and the hounds just lay there looking at them.....lol either human or other I am thinking about getting a guardian dog. Does anyone else use them with their poultry. ?

My livestock guardian dogs are with my chickens.

It's not that they guard the chickens; they guard the property and the chickens get guarded by default.

I do keep the chickens locked up at night except for the ones I keep that roost in the rafters of the pole barn.

My main chicken pen allows my dogs access to 3 sides, and NOTHING can get to that 4th side, hardware cloth attached to a metal building. Granted the dogs sleep in the house at night, but the predators don't know that, the smell seems to be a good deterrent. And it's a pretty good pen.
