On the off chance that anyone wants the full story, just put my name into facebook. But the short version is that someone's pitbull managed to get into my yard, tried to attack me, and killed one of my pet geese (rip Syndrome) and crippled another goose (Kenny).

I am doing all I can to get the Prosecutor to press charges against the pitbull's owner, but right now I am still dealing with Victim's Assistance. But for the legalities I need to put a monetary value on the geese.

The dead goose was the hybrid son of a fair winner (Mr Node) and a wonderful talouse (Talousie- I was 6 when I named her so be nice). The crippled goose Kenny is a beautiful embden.

I have 10 days to get the information, and I haven't had any luck with Google in finding experienced poultry show judges to give an opinion about the goose value. I know that there is only so much that can be done with pictures, but anything at this point would help. I have tried my local 4-H and they don't have any contact info for any judges.

Is anyone, or does anyone know an experienced judge of show geese?

For some pictures, here's the direct link for the fair pictures.

That one is for more recent pics, but just put my name into Photobucket if the link breaks because I might add more pictures to it. It's helped me to look at the happy pictures.

If you decide to look at the album Pitbull Attack be warned, the pictures are very graphic!!!!

Thank you to anyone who can help me.

I am so sorry to hear of your tragedy. That's is awful. I have no idea how much they would be worth but wanted to just say how sorry I am, since this is a holiday there may not be many on till later so don't get discouraged, someone will be here to help hopefully before the day is over.

Thank you :)

I am trying to get in touch with the Indiana State Fair folks, but at this time of year it's difficult since we're all out farming and fair time isn't for a while yet.
