So a few day's ago there was news video that aired on the local news, it made me listen.

Two dogs were ordered put down (I forget what breed of dog they were some breed of sheep dog i think). They were to be seized by the SPCA and then euthinzed (sp?). The woman took the the dogs to the vet and had them put down her self, she wanted to be with them when they went... she was upset when talking about the dogs. And now she maybe facing charges, i guess the dogs were going to be held for 7 day's before... Anyways i don't think she should be charged she has suffered enough.

What do you think??? and please keep it seveal (sp?). If this get's to off topic and people start fighting i well have it closed

I don't know about the story but I can only guess if they were to be held for seven days that was because they bit someone and were not current with rabies vaccinations, but if she took them off somewhere and had them euthanized then whomever got bitten may have to go through a lot of vaccinations that may not have been neccessary. If that is the case then I think she should be charged, but that's just my opinion.

Sounds like she broke the law by disregarding and violating that Order. Being charged for violating an Order would be fairly typical.

I don't know the details of the case, but rabies as an issue sounds like the problem. In a case like that, the dogs need to be held and observed. In some cases animals have been killed and their heads have been sent to a lab for confirmation, although I don't know how long that takes or how much it costs. I think these days it's not done as often. I'm guessing she just disposed of the dogs herself or had the vet do it, so they couldn't even be tested. If I was a person that got bit and now had to get the shots, I don't think I'd be complaining if they charged her. If it was my child that got bit, I'd be campaigning for it.

That's because the government likes to stay on top of thIngs like that, by ensuring every dog bite is not because of a new rabies outbreak. I agree, that woman was supposed to have her dogs in quarantine so they could be monitered for any illness thaT the bite victem may be susseptible to. I'm sure they may have let her be there when they got put down if she would have asked. Laws and procedures are put in place for a reason. We can't just go around doing whatever we wan however we like. Though I do feel for the woman, that's a crummy situation.

Eta- spelling errors! Many of them!

Please post the link to the story, it's impossible to form any kind of opinion without knowing the facts. Thanks.
