I went a little crazy over the summer buying birds !

I now need to down size and i dont know what i should get rid of . I like them all the same

I have
DUCKS-
wood ducks
mandarins
ring teal
chiloe widgeons
muscovey

PHEASANTS
silver
red golden
yellow golden
red golden/lady amherst cross
wild ring neck
white ringneck
malanistic

What would you get rid of and keep ?

Of the ducks you should get rid of:
ring teal
and chiloe widgeons

Of the pheasants you should get rid of:
red golden/lady amherst cross
wild ring neck
white ringneck
and malanistic

I may be of no help at all but, here is what I'd do. I'd pick what I think is my favorite breed or couple of breeds of ducks and keep those. I'd do the same with the pheasents. Only you know which one's you like best so, only you can make this desision.

Out of the ducks, I would just keep the Mandarins and Wood Ducks.

Now, 1much - No one will pay what they are really worth. They ate more feed than can easily be recouped by selling them.

Kill the fatted calf and enjoy your own fruits of labor is always a good option.
