i never knew quail eggs were sooo bad!!!!

Bought 200 off eBay...got 18 chicks....but to top it off, I was cleaning the bator after the hatch and 4 went POP! RIGHT IN MY FACE. uhhhhh...I hate quail eggs.....never had this problem with chicken eggs.

judging by the poor hatch and rotten eggs, I would say you got some old eggs from ebay..

fresh eggs do not often gas up in a normal hatching session.. If they are cracked, then maybe yes..

I avoid shipped eggs like the plague..

sounds like you got old eggs. There are a few people on ebay selling bad eggs. It happens.
