I never thought I'd be...

Had someone ever told me I'd be cleaning chick butts with a q-tip on a sunny Saturday morning I would have scoffed at the idea.
Does anyone want to guess what I did this morning?

I feel your pain! My first batch of chicks, heat lamp raised in the house, consisted of 22 chicks. I was constantly at the sink, wondering how 22 chicks could have 44 hineys!! It felt like I had more butts in that brooder than I had beaks and feet! Never fought it again after I ditched the lamp and started raising them outside from the start. Oh, except for one batch of chicks.....a couple of them arrived here with it, but I just did a couple of cleanings and it never recurred.
