We ONLY got our coop and run finished 2 weeks ago , and BANG , hubby comes home with 200 ft. of fencing material that was given to him . NOW coop is 8 x12 and run is 12 x20 .
BINGO , enlarging the RUN to 12 x 30 . LOL

I guess and PREDICT , COOP enlargement will be NEXT .

I tried and tried to convience him to BUILD LARGER , NOW , here we GO AGAIN.

I am smiling now as this is happening to me , when I built my coop I just knew somehow this thing could get out of hand, so I didn't fight it I just figured it into the design, and it seems to working out fine. I have already added for some turkeys, and now the hatching and brooding areas. my wife may even add some flowers around here and there.

well , the enlargement of the RUN will be completed today . extra 8x10 .

Then we need to finish painting the outside ...

We also bought paneling for the inside , that wont take long , and ALSO , we need to attach nesting boxes to the wall 18" from the floor . and THATS IT .

It takes so much longer than you think even when you go with the original plan! I think you deserve a bottle of a nice Chianti...

Good wishes to you from the original home of the Acadians, Lizz!
