I just heard my little CA white scream for her life, because my brown leghorn had her by the back of her neck dragging her around. I, of couse freaked and ran down to the coop and set him strait. The weird thing is I threaten him with his life. And then I told him he would be going to the taxidermy place. He is so beautiful I would never just give him to anybody. Now all this could be normal behavior and I did not see any blood so I am sure she is fine. They are all about 16 weeks old and just please tell me this is normal. They all grew up together. My question is, has anybody done the taxidermy thing before or is it just wrong of me to even consider. I saw one once in a resturant and it was beautifully done. Please set me straight.

First, taxidermy is pretty darn expensive.
Otherwise, I'm pretty sure it's normal mating behavior. They're getting frisky.
Beyond that, he's your rooster. If you want to get rid of him but still appreciate his beauty, that's your right. Don't let anyone tell you it's wrong. He is a very pretty bird.

I have seen a couple taxidermied, not my cup of tea, but then again I wouldn't want a Deerhead or Fish on my wall either.
