I.S.O. barbazieux kentucky

That's an extremely rare breed in thee US. Not as rare as the one I raise but still.
There are two NPIP breeders in Missouri. One is in Cape Girardeau which isn't that far from KY.
Perhaps KY has an equivalent to the Missouri Poultry Yearbook.

Do you have chalky clay soil where you live?

Thanks I'll look to see if they do.

The only ones I could find searching was greenfire in fl and golden feather in la.

Will do. I'm sure I'll post when I get some and track progress.

Well it's KY. We have rocks & clay. Limestone rocks are good for filterin water for bourbon.
Thanks

Are you interested in their meat qualities?
I guess Greenfire's are pricey. Perhaps you could get some from each of the MO breeders for some genetic diversity. I don't know either of the breeders but that is a place to start for you.

Yes my plan was possibly get some greenfire to start (but $$ hard to swallow) then add another line.

Had to look up your birds. My wife would love hens that lay dark eggs.
