Lucy, a sweet silkie hen I have has gone broody yet again.
While I search for eggs to give her I take her off the nest in the mornings and close the coop door. I figure most of the girls have already laid so If one doesn't lay I can live with that. Well, lol...about midmorning I look out and see one egg in the food dish near the coop door. lol. Oddly enough Lucy didn't sit on it

I love how funny raising chickens can be. Just when you've seen it all. I would have loved to see the face of the chicken who laid it. Ever notice if you, emhh...interupt them they give you a look like "excuse me missy!-Do you mind?"
