She hissed at me for the first time in her life and I've never been so happy to have an angry goose! She's laid a few, but this is her first year laying and the first ones were small. I set up the incubator with plans to take a few from her then leave the rest to see what she would do.

I guess now I know she'll go broody, so next year I won't take her eggs. She's a Pilgrim and it's her first year so I'm not terribly confident her single egg will become a gosling, but I can hope.

I felt bad for taking her other eggs, but what I took yesterday was frozen, so they wouldn't have developed anyway.

I have a broody Toulouse and she is just TOO CUTE! I had to take several eggs the other day because the other girls won't make theri own nest, so I put some in the incubator and let her keep all the middle ones that she had actually been setting on. I want the to have some babies so badly!
