I think I hatched a crested duckling

I have Ancona ducks and today popped out a duckling with a pink bump on its head. Am I wrong or is that likely going to be a crested duck? My last hatch had a crest gone very wrong that I had to cull : (

I have some new drakes just maturing so I am hoping with the new genetics that this crested gene will appear less often.

The crested gene is often a lethal gene so it's probably important to get new blood in there soon or you'll have some problems down the road with hatches because it will cut the quality of birds down and the number of successful hatch rates.

Yeah, I hope my younger boys will be contributing their genes soon ; ) I have not been excited to see the gene popping up. I have 7 girls just starting to lay too.
