The entire time I have lived in Texas we have been in extreme drought conditions. Well, the insane amount of rainfall has eliminated that. I feel so incredibly sad for everyone who lost loved ones and homes to the flooding. I think the rain has finally stopped for a bit, at least down here. As I was leavingg my house this afternoon I noticed how everything was just thriving. The wildlife is, too. The deer are abundant and healthy. It just amazes me how brutal and how beautiful nature can be at the same time.

Thank you. We are a military family, just settling down and hubby about to retire. We bought our house about a year ago and to me, this feels like heaven.

Our DIL is from Texas. Son met her when he was working in the Lyndon Baines Johnson presidential library. When they moved to the East coast she was amazed at how green everything is here.
