I think I want to add some MW to the craziness :)

I would like to raise some MW 2 or 3 for the freezer, to be processed sometime around Thanksgiving. I would like all female poults, but I'm not sure where locally I can get just a few poults? I looked on craigslist, but it's mostly home breeders, so they only offer straight run.

Also wondering when I should look for the poults if I want them to be about 18-20 pounds around Thanksgiving?

Why female poults? The toms are heavier on average about eight pounds. Plus the females are very sweet and easy to get attatched too and only weigh about 12 lbs. I don't think you'll get an 18 lb hen.

I'm really worried about the noise since I'm not technically supposed to have poultry. Smaller than 18 pounds would be ok. I just don't want a huge bird, so smaller is fine...
