What is this big ol gal??? She is 4 months now, and hasnt laid yet. I was just given her from a very sweet lady! I was curious what this gal was?

ok we ruled out leghorn. she must be a white rock, as everyone is saying

Yyeahhh. LOL! Ive been on BYC for awhile. I havent seen a white rock before, thats why i thought she may have been a oversized broiler!!! I am usually very good at telling the breed of chickens

im no expert... im guess leghorns are more slim-bodied birds, and white rocks are plump. White Rocks are crossed with White Cornish to produce the Rock/Cornish hybrid that makes up most of the roasting chickens found in supermarkets.


Wait, feathersite says its a broiler or a white rock/cornish?
Is this girl a plain white rock? wouldnt that still make her a broiler?
