I think Lil' Bit is finally going to have tail feathers!

My little runty, half blind hen Lil'Bit is molting. They're all molting, but she looks the worst.
She has never had more than one tail feather. The others pulled all of them out when she was a baby and they never grew back.
Now she has a behind full of new feather shafts (not sure of the correct term).
No more "one little indian" for Lil'Bit!

Gee, will I recognize her with a butt full of fluff?

Yeah, I was just outside watching them. My rooster was trying to make Lil'Bit mind him by dancing around her. The other hens do exactly like he wants them to. Lil'Bit just ignores him, cuz she can't see him half the time. Good girl!
